South Carolina Federal will give you $250 for opening a new personal checking account with direct deposit and eStatements. *Verification of direct deposit and registration for eStatements is required, this verification may take six (6) to eight (8) weeks.

1. Eligibility for Promotion:
• South Carolina Federal Credit Union ("Credit Union") Members in good standing who do not have
a checking account with direct deposit and electronic statements (eStatements).
• Participation is limited to members who are 18 years or older and U.S. residents. By accepting an
electronic deposit of $250 to your account, you agree to be bound by these Official Promotion
Guidelines.
• The Promotion period begins on November 1, 2006, and will run for an undisclosed period, offer
may be withdrawn at any time, and applies to checking accounts opened with direct deposit and
electronic statements (eStatements) during the promotion.
• Offer also applies to current members with checking accounts, but does not have direct deposit or
electronic statements (eStatements). Said members who start direct deposit on current checking
accounts can receive an electronic deposit of $50 to their account upon verification of direct
deposit; verification of direct deposit may take six (6) to eight (8) weeks.
• Members may also receive an electronic deposit of $50 for registering for electronic statements
(eStatements).
o Deposits for registering for electronic statements (eStatements) will be done on a monthly
basis at the beginning of every month after the promotion starts.
• Current members will not qualify for closing current checking accounts and reopening accounts;
these members will only be eligible for an electronic deposit up to and not exceeding $100.
• Employees, volunteers and agents of the Credit Union and their immediate family members residing
in a single household are not eligible.
2. The Credit Union will make an electronic deposit of $250 to members who open a South Carolina
Federal checking account with direct deposit and electronic statements (eStatements) during this
promotional period. Verifications of direct deposit and registration of electronic statements
(eStatements) is required. Verification of direct deposit may take six (6) to eight (8) weeks to verify.
3. Entry and eligibility for this prize promotion is based upon members 18 years or older, in good
standing opening a S.C. Federal checking account with direct deposit and electronic statements
(eStatements) at any branch. The member will be responsible for turning in their direct deposit form
to their payroll office and the member will receive an electronic deposit of $250 at the time the direct
deposit and registration for electronic statements (eStatements) is verified.
4. Electronic deposit of $250 will be made only if entrants comply with these Official Promotion
Guidelines. No cash or other consideration will be paid, and winners are responsible for any
applicable taxes or other expenses related to any prize awarded. The member must comply with South
Carolina Federal’s policies and procedures to open a checking account; only if they are eligible for a
checking account with direct deposit and electronic statements (eStatements) will they receive an
electronic deposit of $250 at the time direct deposit and electronic statement (eStatements)
registration is verified.
5. Members’ accounts must be in good standing at time electronic deposit is made.
6. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
7. By accepting a prize, a winner consents to the use of his/her name and photograph or likeness for
advertising and promotional services without additional compensation.
8. Release of Claims: All winners, members of any winners’ household, relatives and persons who use
any prize awarded by South Carolina Federal, and such persons’ heirs, assigns, executors, and
administrators release and exempt South Carolina Federal and its directors, officers, employees and
agents from any and all claims, actions, demands, choses in action and damages which they have now
or any time in the future arising from use of any prize, including personal injury or death.
9. The name of the prize winner(s) may be posted at all Credit Union branches and may be published in
the Credit Union's newsletter and other informational resources (including the Credit Union's website).
