For those not familiar with these bonuses, the idea is basically that these two online banks are willing to give new customers free money if they are signed up through existing customers.
In the case of ING Direct, a $250 deposit is required to receive the bonus. In the case of Virtual Bank, $100 is all that is required. If you sign up in this way, you'll need to keep your initial deposit in the bank for a few weeks to be able to keep the bonus.
