#19718 EmigrantDirect now 2 star rating at Bankrate.com
Posted by jpsmoney on 29 July 2006 - 08:16 AM in General
ED dropped from a 3 star to a 2 star rating, which is "below industry average" in their financial standing. Of course they are FDIC insured, but it makes you wonder a little. I've also seen talk on other websites that customers are linking their spam email to ED.
I wonder if they saw a lot of money move out while their rates were lagging some of the other online banks. Or maybe the don't have as much power to lend out at higher rates than they are paying.
#19257 ebank to try QuickPost
Posted by jpsmoney on 02 June 2006 - 11:25 AM in General
They seem to be joining the ranks of Netbank and UFBDirect in using the UPSStore as a bank. I wonder who's next?
(I hope there will be more banks that do this...it's very convenient if there's a store near you...too bad you can't do it at the staples/office depot or ship centers that use ups...sigh)
hope this might help someone.
USAA Bank uses QuickPost as well. I think it's a great trend, since I am at the UPS store all the time as I have a mailbox there
