I clicked on the link, and I just got redirected to the Bank of America home page. Did anyone manage to do this online? If I go to a banking center, what do I need to mention to get this bonus? Thank you for your help.

Beware that while it only takes $500 to open an account, you must maintain a minimum balance of $2500 in order to avoid a $10 monthly maintenance fee.

As much as I would love to say this is a great deal, I can not. Bottom line, you must maintain a min balance of $2500 (or be subject to $12 monthly fees) and the rate you receive for this is 0.55%. Assuming that you have to leave the account open for 6 months to avoid any early closure penalties, you are left with an effective annualized rate of 4.65%, if you can close it after three it jumps to 8.65% annualized rate, of course if you keep it open a full year you wind up with 2.65% return for the entire year, in a word YUCK! I would stick with the checking and savings account offer, it is a much better return on your investment and your time smile.gif
