I recently had bofa nail my with a 31 dollar overdraw fine. but the covered the check for me. what about overdrawing your account by say 5000 dollars by buying a flat panel. they take the tv back and get a cash refund. then take the money and stick it somewhere until bofa demands you pay. but you can keep the interest minus the 31 dollar fee. could this work?????

Overdraft protection has a limit. Some bank/credit unions limit is $300 and some banks charge interest on the advance. Here is a survey of overdraft protection which dicusses if it actually worth having it:

This definitely won't work and BofA also charges interest besides the fee.
