I was curious if my bank would ever have good promotions going on and impulsively looked at the rates page.
This rate requires the platinum (or the now discontinued premium relationship checking) account which needs 15k in the bank (or 7.5k for the discontinued package) in any combination of checking/savings/cds...
If you don't already have an account there, then you could simply open either CD with 15k and still have it count, I think.
