Terms:

TO QUALIFY: (i) Open a new CIBC Unlimited Chequing Account (your "New Account") in any branch or by phone between Dec. 1/06 and Jan. 31/07. (Phone applications must be completed in-branch if you do not already have a CIBC bank account.) (ii) Sign the CIBC Express Switch Form to authorize the transfer to your New Account of one eligible existing recurring pre-authorized transaction (deposits or payments), excluding payroll deposits, from a bank account elsewhere (the "Old Account"). If the New Account is opened by phone, the Form will be sent to you for proper completion and must be received back from you at the address on the Form by Feb. 28/07. (iii) The Old Account cannot be a CIBC or CIBC affiliate account (including President's Choice FinancialTM1). It must be a traditional branch-based personal bank account from which CIBC Express Switch can transfer pre-authorized transactions and balances. (iv) Complete the transfer process by giving instructions by phone by Mar. 30/07 to CIBC Express Switch, authorizing the transfer to your New Account of the Old Account's account balance and the closure of the Old Account. (v) Your New Account and CIBC Platinum VISA account (if you opened one) must still be open and in good standing on the date the $100 credit is to be made.
Please note that when you open the New Account, you will be asked if you want a CIBC Platinum VISA card. If you do, the card will only be issued if you apply and satisfy CIBC's standard credit and other criteria. If all 5 requirements are met, the $100 credit will be made 8-12 weeks after requirement (iv) is met to: (a) your CIBC Platinum VISA account, if one was opened, (cool.gif if you have a different CIBC VISA account only, to that VISA account (or if more than one, to the VISA account CIBC selects) or, © if you have no CIBC VISA account, to the New Account. Offer not open to existing CIBC Unlimited Chequing Account customers or minors, and cannot be combined with any other offer. A fee may be charged by the bank/other issuer of your Old Account to transfer pre-authorized transactions or the account balance; it may be deducted from your Old Account's balance (practices vary). Limit one $100 credit per customer (including if the customer opens multiple New Accounts alone or jointly with other customers). Limit one $100 credit per joint account: the joint account customer who applies for and obtains a CIBC Platinum VISA card will receive the credit (if all conditions are met) or, if he or she has no CIBC Platinum VISA card, it will be credited to his/her other CIBC VISA card; if that customer has no CIBC VISA account, the credit will be made to the New Account (if the New Account's signing authority is "either or any to sign", any joint customer may withdraw or use the credit without the consent of the other customer(s)). The credit will not be split among accounts. CIBC may change these terms and conditions or withdraw this offer at any time without notice.

2 TO QUALIFY: (i) Open a CIBC Canadian dollar Business Operating Account (the "Account") between Dec. 1/06 and Jan. 31/07; only those opened by Small Businesses qualify. (ii) Within the next 14 days, make deposit(s) or transfer(s) into the Account so that the daily closing balance on one or more days is at least $2,500; transfers into the Account from CIBC or CIBC affiliate personal bank accounts or GICs do not qualify. (iii) Throughout the 3 calendar months after you open the Account (except for the days before the Account's closing balance initially reaches $2,500), the daily closing balance must be at least $1,000. (The month in which the Account is opened counts as the first month, whether it is a partial or full month.) (iv) The new Account and (if one was obtained) the CIBC Platinum VISA account must still be open and in good standing on the date the $100 credit is to be made.
For sole proprietorships only, the proprietor will be asked at the time of Account opening if he/she wants a personal CIBC Platinum VISA card. If yes, it will be issued only if the proprietor applies and meets CIBC's standard credit criteria. If all conditions are met, the $100 credit will be paid into the new Account approximately 18-22 weeks after the Account is opened. However, if the Account was opened by a sole proprietor who obtained a CIBC Platinum VISA card, the $100 will be credited to the CIBC Platinum VISA account instead of the Account; or, if the sole proprietor has only a different CIBC VISA account, it will be credited into that VISA account instead (or into the CIBC VISA account CIBC selects, if the sole proprietor has more than one other CIBC VISA card).
Limit one $100 credit per person or business entity (including if a person or business entity opens more than one new Account). The credit will not be split between accounts. Offer not open to minors. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer. CIBC may change these terms and conditions or withdraw this offer at any time without notice.
