One nice feature of B of A that I've been using a lot is that you can easily send money to other B of A customers directly through online banking (you have to know their B of A account number, and zip code to match the one on file for their account). It's free and instantly credits (like in seconds), with a $1000 a day sending limit. I've used this a ton. Not such a bad deal to convince your family to take a free checking account from them (no ATM fees or direct deposit required now in states they don't have branches) for this if your transferring often.
I also hear Citibank has a similar global transfer feature which extends to free instant international transfers to Citibank account including those in other countries, like Canada or Japan or Mexico (Banamex).
Are there any other banks out there that offer any kind of easy customer-to-customer transfer facility online or by phone? (A list?)
