Check out this deal at a Maryland credit union. www.secumd.org . This is a 7 month c.d. that gives you 2.50% on your total initial deposit of the c.d. that is credited to your account immediately( and by the way the cap is 200,000 on each c.d.). The actual apy on this one is 5%. But with the 2.50% from the get go it comes out to be somewhere in at 9.36% . The field of membership is the usual one for credit unions.
