ING up to 3.40%, Capital One at 3.45???

Although I like banking with ING, I'm not very impressed with their response to Emigant going to 4.00%. Still waiting to see what, if anything, Capital One is going to do.

Sometimes I wonder if I should remove ING Direct from the best rate list. Who needs its 3.40% savings when there are so many accounts with higher rates around?

CapOne was competing with ING in my opinion, trying to stay just above ING rate. Now that ING has beached itself, CapOne does not have clear competitor. It seems that HSBC it trying to stay slightly ahead of CapOne.

On Dec 5 (I think) ING raised rates to 3.75%.
