You can link your new sovereign bank checking account to your E*Trade Bank or ING Direct account. But when you go to the bank to open an account, do not tell me that you are going to link your new checking account with your E*Trade account.

For Sovereign Banks new promotional offer .. to get the $100.00 new account bonus..

Will they accept paypal as an ACH or Direct Deposit to satisfy their requirement?

Actually, I don't think you even need a direct deposit according to their terms at all to get the bonus, but I think they charge you a monthly fee if you don't have one.
