Back when my son was younger, I opened a "youth account" for him which earned a bonus 1.5% above what we adults were earning. It was a small local bank which unfortunately was absorbed by a larger bank who doesn't offer this program. I have my first grandchild due in 2 months and would like to open a similar account for them so am searching for a youth account which makes better than average interest. I don't care whether it's a bank or a CU, just looking for the best rate. Please post here. I'm sure other members would be interested for their children/grandchildren as well.
