Free $50 When You Sign Up For Free Wells Fargo Checking
I know this is not as "slick" as the $125 that I think Chase is (or was) giving for setting up an account, but anyone looking to set up a Wells Fargo account can still benefit.
All you have to do is call up (or go into a branch) of Wells Fargo Financial (note this is different then the bank) and tell them you want to open a checking account. They will then give you a coupon that you take to the bank to open the account and get the $50. I believe this should work all around the country. The key is to call the Wells Fargo Financial and they will give you the $50 coupon to take to the bank.
So yes, I guess it is a little bit of work, but in reality it takes about a 1 minute phone call to get you $50. Might not be good enough to make you want to open an account, but if you were thinking of doing it anyway, you might as well get the $50.
