Terms:
1) To receive a referral reward you must: have an Online Savings Account (OSA) at the time of the referral, provide an email address that matches what appears on our system for your Online Savings Account (OSA), and keep your Online Savings Account (OSA) open until the reward is issued; the individual you refer must not currently hold, nor have held in the past 60 days, an HSBC personal or business account and must open a new Online Savings Account (OSA) by 4/8/2011 using the link provided in the Referral Program invitation, initiated by you. The reward will be emailed to you approximately 6 weeks after the individual you refer opens a qualifying account. You can receive up to 10 referral rewards for a maximum of $250 in gift cards, per calendar year. Reward amount will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT. HSBC reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time.
2) To receive a thank you gift, the individual you refer must: not currently hold, nor have held in the past 60 days, an HSBC personal or business account; open a new Online Savings Account (OSA) by 4/8/2011 using the link provided in the Referral Program invitation; deposit $500 or more into the new Online Savings Account (OSA) within 4 weeks of account opening; keep the Online Savings Account (OSA) open with a minimum balance of $500 until the gift is issued. One account opening gift per individual. If the Online Savings Account (OSA) is closed within 6 months of opening, the value of gift will be deducted from account proceeds at closing. The gift will be emailed to the individual you refer approximately 6 weeks after qualifying account is opened and funded. Gift amount will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT. HSBC reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time.
