Several comments about this deal:

1) Everybody with a valid email address can join this CU for free. Read more about this HERE and HERE.

2) You will have to sign-up for e-statements to avoid one $5 monthly fee and set-up direct deposit to your checking account to avoid the other $5 monthly fee. Read CU's schedule of fee HERE ( You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader).

3) The CU seems to automatically open a savings account for every new member. I do not know if you can reject this account. You have to keep only $5 in the savings account to avoid a fee if you have another account with this CU. Read more about this HERE

4) Investor MM account requires $1000 balance to avoid $20 fee.
Premium Money Market requires $10000 balance to avoid $25 fee.

5) Accounts in this CU are insured by NCUA. Read more about this HERE, also see NCUA web sire.

6) The CU does offer ATM rebates but only if you keep there > $5000.
The larger your account balance, the bigger your ATM rebates. You can get up-to $50 of monthly ATM rebates. Read more about this HERE

7) Meadows CU offers free bill payment, free incoming ACH transfers, and one or two free outgoing ACH transfers. I have not tried these transfers yet so I do not know details.
