Branch Offer and Account Opening Process: Bring the direct mail, email or coupon with promo code NEWCHECKING15 to a SunTrust branch or during the account opening process tell a SunTrust representative you want to be enrolled in the SunTrust Q3 2015 Checking Offer. To print the coupon, go to the promotional page and select the "Print coupon for branch" link. You must present the coupon to a SunTrust representative. Eligible accounts opened at a branch include: Essential checking, Select checking and Signature Advantage checking.
To Earn the Reward: To earn the $100 reward 1) open an Essential checking account online or at a branch between August 3, 2015 and October 12, 2015, 2) enroll in the promotion via the account opening process above, and 3) deposit a minimum of $500 in qualifying Direct Deposits within 60 days of account opening.
To earn the $200 reward 1) open a Select checking account online or at a branch, or open a Signature Advantage checking account at a branch between August 3, 2015 and October 12, 2015, 2) enroll in the promotion via the account opening process above, and 3) deposit a minimum of $2,000 in qualifying Direct Deposits within 60 days of account opening.
A qualifying Direct Deposit is a Direct Deposit of your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income electronically deposited into your account by your employer or an outside agency.
Minimum balance to open an Essential, Select or Signature Advantage checking account is $100. Your new account must remain open and in good standing with a balance of at least $1.00 when the reward is processed in order for you to receive the applicable reward, which will be credited to the new checking account 8 weeks after the qualifying direct deposit is made. SunTrust Q3 2015 Checking Offer will appear on the checking monthly statement when the reward is credited to the account holder's checking account. The promotional reward amount will be determined by the Checking account selected and clients will receive only one reward. For Select Checking and Signature Advantage checking, the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is currently 0.01% for all tiers in the fee schedule. The minimum opening balance is $100. The Annual Percentage Yields are accurate as of 7/25/2015. Fees may reduce your earnings.
SunTrust clients who already have a personal checking account with SunTrust (as a primary or secondary account holder) are not eligible for this promotion. SunTrust clients who closed a personal checking account within 180 days of the promotion start date will not be eligible for a promotional reward. SunTrust employees will not be eligible for promotional rewards. The primary account holder of the participating checking account must be 18 years or older.
