I can not recommend InsurBanc to high-income customers because APY of its checking account is lower than APY you can get in other online banks.

I can not recommend InsurBanc to low-income customers either because it charges a fee for online bill payment. Many online banks offer bill pay for free (State Farm Bank, Farm Bureau Bank, Ascencia Bank, etc). The interest checking account of First Internet Bank of Indiana with $500 minimum balance requirement gives you email alerts, and ATM rebates. InsurBanc does not offer free bill payment, ACH-in transfers, and e-bills.

There are online banks around that have much better checking products than checking accounts at InsurBanc.
