A qualifying Direct Deposit is a Direct Deposit of your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income electronically deposited into your account by your employer or an outside agency.

Minimum balance to open an Essential, Select or Signature Advantage checking account is $100. Your new account must remain open and in good standing with a balance of at least $1.00 when the reward is processed in order for you to receive the applicable reward, which will be credited to the new checking account 8 weeks after the qualifying direct deposit is made. SunTrust Q3 2015 Checking Offer will appear on the checking monthly statement when the reward is credited to the account holder's checking account. The promotional reward amount will be determined by the Checking account selected and clients will receive only one reward.
