Beware Bank of America clients, the people at that bank rip you off!! My husband opened an account with them less than a year ago and soon after we began having problems. One day we woke up checked our balance online and noticed that we were in the negative, my husband called them up and they told him that they had taken the money and were issuing us a credit card for our kids. (Our kids are no older than 7.) he demanded the money be put back and after two weeks it was. They show an available balance on your account on the web but when you withdraw the money they put you in the negative. how can that be? if the money was shown as available and we do not write checks!!! I went into the bank to withdraw money just to prove a point and they let me. All I had to do was say I was his wife, I am not even on the account!!! I was able to take out 1000 with just the account number! BUT WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET BACK AT THEM!!!!!!
If you have been ripped off by them this is what you do....
Put money in the account, go to the store and buy things making sure there is at least 100 left over then set up a paypal account, transfer 500 to the paypal from the bank account and it goes through!!!! We left them in the negative and never went back to them. We made sure we got every sent back they ever took!!!!
