What is special about this checking account? It seems to have all kind of fees. Why post accounts that do not have a bonus? Am I missing something?

You need to do your research. This is not available nationally. It is only available in one county in Illinois. This kind of information saves people and banks time by giving critical information and avoiding needless contacts. WE SHOULD ALL do our background work before we post!

This posting indicates that it is available nationally. On this basis I completed and submitted an application to the bank. I got an e-mail response which indicated that the bank does not serve outside of its footprint. Accounts are available only to those who reside in Palm Desert, CA, the state of Colorado, and Phoenix, AZ. What research went into this posting before it was listed?
