here is still another reference to this bonus, which went from being a national one to a restricted one in under 24 hours. According to the FW thread, it sounds like anyone who applied before 11:45 yesterday morning will receive the bonus.

Thanks everybody for your input. I am moving this deal to the restricted bonuses board. I guess a take-home lesson from this story is ... if you found a deal, take advantage of it before sharing info with a large community like SlickDeals or FatWallet. "FatWallet effect" is very much real.
