Cash Back:
There is no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn. Monthly rebates on the amount of your eligible purchases (net of credits for purchases) are based on the following structure: You will earn a rebate of 5% on eligible purchases made in the United States from wireless telephone service providers and office supply specialty retailers. Rebates for eligible purchases from wireless telephone service providers and office supply specialty retailers will be limited to the first $12,000 of eligible purchases in each of these categories during the 12 months in a row beginning with the one in which the anniversary of your Card Account occurs (rebate year). Instead of a 5% rebate, you will earn a rebate of 1% for eligible purchases at wireless telephone services providers in excess of $12,000 in any rebate year; office supply specialty retailers in excess of $12,000 in any rebate year; and superstores or warehouse clubs. You will earn a rebate of 3% on eligible purchases of automobile gasoline at stand-alone gas stations in the United States, and such rebate will be limited to the first $12,000 of eligible purchases in each rebate year. Instead of a 3% rebate, you will earn a rebate of 1% for automobile gasoline purchases over $12,000 in any rebate year; automobile gasoline purchases at superstores or warehouse clubs; and any individual purchase of gasoline over 75 gallons (or its cash equivalent). You will earn a rebate of 1% on all other eligible purchases. Eligible purchases do not include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchases of American Express Travelers Cheques, purchases or reloading of American Express prepaid cards or purchases of other cash equivalents. You will not receive a rebate of 3% or 5% if a merchant does not submit the purchase using the correct industry code or merchant code that we designate. A merchant with more than one location may submit purchases using different codes. This means that purchases at some locations would receive a higher rebate, while purchases at other locations of the same merchant would receive a lower or no rebate. OPEN Savings®:
Savings range from 3% to 10%. Payment must be made with an American Express® Business Card at the time of purchase; savings will be credited to your account. If purchases that received the OPEN Savings discount are refunded, the OPEN Savings discount will be reversed and debited to your account. Other restrictions or limitations may apply.
