blink.gif Is this a scam, or for real? I'm all about free or easy bucks, so I'd like to know if it's for real. ph34r.gif

In Topic: Poll--Which is more important in banking?

23 September 2005 - 09:28 PM

I picked low/no monthly fees. It doesn't take long for fees to add up and surpass a bonus, and it's like a monster eating away at the interest you've earned. Reputation is nice, but it isn't the most important thing as long as the bank is FDIC insured. Luckily I don't have to use customer service that much, and if I do I can be just as nasty as they want to be. Who cares about ATM's, using cash is in the past! I use a rewards credit card for everything so that I get more freebies! Good poll!!! It'll be interesting to see what everyone else votes for.

In Topic: Who offers the best overall banking experience?

biggrin.gif I voted for Capitol One b/c I used the "blank check" to purchase both of my vehicles. I was nice to go to the dealership with my financing already in my hand. They tried to beat the rate, but couldn't! I also have a high yield savings account and a money market checking account with them. The rates on these accounds are pretty good. Overall, it has been good to do business with them and that is why I am voting for them. My 2nd vote would be for ING, but it looks like they already have a lot of votes! biggrin.gif
