They are offering a Passbook saving account at 4.07% with 25K Min. Rate guaranteed till 05/01/2006. Might only be good as a local deal, Located just North of Boston, as I don't know if you must go in for a Passbook account. Also offering a 8 month CD at 4.5%. Another plus is they have SIF which covers any amount over FDIC, Might now be time to take some $$ out of ING to open with them

Hi scottjm.
I also opened Everbank FreeNet Checking few weeks ago.
Many products that noone arround has (Currency CD's Gold and S&P CD's) but aI noticed several saviungs issues.
1. Incoming transfers triggered by Everbank take 4 days. example transfer was issued on Monday, funds dissapeared on the other account on Tuesday and appeared on Everbank Account on Friday.
2. They have strange way of calculating the Average Balance. The account was funded by check on 11/28 with 5K and on the statement says I have 3 interest bearing days but the Average balance for those 3 days is only $1,666.00. The counted 0 for 28th and 29th and full ammount of 5 K only for 30th ?!?
Have you noticedsimilar issues on your side. Have you tried ach initiated from external account ? How fast is it ?
Thanks
